Mike Conley Sr

Conley Sr. holds triple jump record

Born October 5 1962 is an American former track and field athlete who competed primarily in the triple jump and the long.

Conley's father is Mike Conley Sr., an Olympic gold and silver medalist in the triple jump. He is also the nephew of former American football linebacker. Conley Sr.'s brother, Steven, was a third-round pick by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 1983 NFL Draft.

Conley Sr. attended the University of Arkansas, where he was a three-time NCAA champion in the triple jump. He also won the silver medal in the triple jump at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. Conley Sr. set the American record in the triple jump in 1985 with a mark of 58 feet, 10.25 inches. This record still stands today.

After his athletic career, Conley Sr. became a coach. He is currently the head coach of the track and field team at the University of Arkansas.
