## Brighton and Hove Albion set to sign Ferdi Kadıoğlu from Fenerbahçe SK ### Premier League club Brighton and Hove Albion is reportedly closing in on a deal to sign Dutch midfielder Ferdi Kadıoğlu from Turkish club Fenerbahçe SK. The 23-year-old is an attacking midfielder who can also play as a left-back. He came through the youth ranks at Dutch club NEC Nijmegen before joining Fenerbahçe in 2018. Kadıoğlu has made over 100 appearances for Fenerbahçe and has been capped four times by the Netherlands national team. The transfer fee is believed to be in the region of £15 million. Kadıoğlu is expected to sign a four-year contract with Brighton. ### Kadıoğlu is a versatile player who can play in a number of positions. He is a good passer of the ball and has an eye for goal. He would be a valuable addition to the Brighton squad and would provide manager Roberto De Zerbi with more options in midfield. ### The move would also see Kadıoğlu reunited with his former manager, Fabian Hürzeler. Hürzeler was the manager of Jong PSV, the reserve team of PSV Eindhoven, when Kadıoğlu was coming through the ranks. Hürzeler is now the technical director at Brighton and is believed to be a big admirer of Kadıoğlu. If the move goes through, Kadıoğlu would become Brighton's second signing of the summer transfer window, following the arrival of defender Levi Colwill from Chelsea. ### Brighton are looking to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season. They finished ninth in the Premier League last season and are hoping to challenge for a place in Europe this time around. The signing of Kadıoğlu would be a significant statement of intent from Brighton and would show that they are serious about competing with the top teams in the Premier League.
